About Our Rescue Group

We are a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group and receive no public funding. Adoption fees include the actual cost of vetting and transport, with a small amount added to help maintain animals still in our care. We pay for food, sterilization, vaccinations, emergency health care, gas for transportation of animals for health care, medications, pens and dog houses, etc. Animals are maintained in foster homes to be socialized and receive the best possible care before going to their "Forever Homes."

How We Began and What We Do

In June 2010, we saw the need for more rescue options in our area. We began with four volunteers doing everything possible to find placements for helpless animals. We have since added four more full-time volunteers to our group. From June 2010 through January 2014, we have successfully placed over 600 dogs. Nearly 99% of the dogs are adopted by individuals and families in states east of Arkansas: about 95% to the Northeast, and 4% to the Midwest. 1% are adopted locally, where supply exceeds demand. We counsel each adopter in selection of the right dog for their lifestyle.

Not many folks know we also help feral cats in our area. We wish to thank The Petco Foundation for their generous grant to help us trap, neuter, vaccinate and release these deserving animals safely back to their natural habitat. Please see your local Petco store for all your pet needs!
